C-Section Recovery: The First 6-Months
Recovering from a cesarean birth is about far more than healing an incision. In this workshop, we'll explore what to expect during the first six months after a C-section and discuss practical strategies to support healing, restore function, and build confidence in your body.
Drawing on both professional expertise and personal experience, Erin will offer evidence-informed guidance to help participants better understand recovery and navigate the postpartum period with greater ease.
Participants will learn:
What to expect during the first six months of C-section recovery, including common physical changes and milestones.
How movement, breathing, and body awareness can support healing and reduce discomfort.
Strategies for safely returning to everyday activities, lifting, exercise, and caring for a baby.
When to seek additional support and how to recognize signs that recovery may benefit from specialized care.
Scar massage techniques
Discussion of the psychology of healing
